Dear Josh,

I enclose a circuit diagram for the counting
unit we use. I will be pleased tc answer any
questions if the circuit is not clear. It can, of
course, be done more simply.

Regarding strains 1288 and 1289, I find the
following:z,1283 behaves like K-12 while 1289 be-
haves like W-l. However, the “radiation sensitivity
of 1289 seems much greater than that of K-12, W-1,
or 1288. This I do not understand. In the last
experiment samples of 1288, 1289, and: K-12 were
prepared concurrently and identically. I will
repeat the entire experiment.
