Dear Dr. Lederberg:
This will acknowledge your letter of August 21, 1951

Ne are in a period of transtission in our Division, moving from
Berkeley to Davis.

I will probably be able to send you nost of the cultures of our
collection by the time our laboratories are ready for use in
Davis, sometime in October.

At the moment we are only working with a few and it would not be
worth while to send them along at the moment.

I will give you 500 or 1000, gladly, as much as you are willing
to let us take our time in handling the transfer problem.
