I am sorry to have to report that in the oourse of moving
here from Yale this summer, the sample of 2-chloro~-4<amino-
benzoio acid,which vou so kindly sent me,was mislaid. It was
embarrassing to have Ciscoverea this after I had set up an ex-
periment to confixm your ob@servations on the development of
resistant cells. If your supply is not depleted, I would ap-

preciate another sample of 2-3 gyrans.
