Dear Josh

Jerry has prepared two cultures with clear-cut markers
which she has tested for fertility but did not check for
the markers. These cultures will copulate and give good
asc@ spores. We would, of course, be pleased to receive
any additional mtants that may be derived from studying
them. It is difficult to give complete directions and it
might very well serve Rubbo's purpose better to spend some
time down here in getting started, and that would be a
good way of transferring the technique directly to your
laboratory. We would be happy to accomodate him in this
regard, if he is interested.

I think it would be very interesting to try out some
U.V. treatments followed by matings. We have done nothing
like that and I do not know whether the ability to copulate
would survive.U.V. treatment.

Let me know if Rabbo is interested in coming down here.
If funds are not available, I could give him a flat fee of
$50 for a lecture. Best regards to you and Esther from
