Thank you for your letter ef October 29. I also regret
that I gould not visit Japan this summer. As to next year, I am
considering the alternatives of returning from Australia via
Japan or via Europe, depending on the possibility of raising
funds for the additional travel costs for my wife ahd myself.

I will be happy to review your paper on the akineboplastic
forms, and if it is suitable to recomedd it for the Journal of
Bacteriology. Your other paper on Leishmania somds to me as if
1t would d:finitely be more suitable for the Jourml of Protozoology.
This may alao be true of your paper on trypanosoms, but I will wait
to see it Sefore making s definite decision.

As far as possible, I hops you will put the article in good
English before submitting it, Perhaps Professor Kikkawa can help to
criticis& it. If I can be of further assistance, please let me yimm
know. You should ask someone in the U.S. to be responsible for re=ding

the procf, and should make arrangenents about orderting reprints well
