Dear Dr. Lederberg:
Thanks for your advice and suggestions.  I wish I could use all the organisms you recommend but unfortunately I am limited both having only 2 hands and one little brain.
Could I bother you for your strain of K12?  I know you suggest to get it from Bernie Davis.  Although he and I are the best of friends I should like to have it remain so.  And so I would greatly prefer to obtain the strain from you if you have no objections.
