Dear Josh,
I am having your cultures (W1975, 76, and 77) lyophillized (Miriam Bonner is doing them) and will send them to you as soon as I get them.
In the meantime, I thought you'd better know that, in our hands, 1976 is not a serine auxotroph.  It doesn't grow on minimal--so it's an auxotroph--but it doesn't grow on serine, or on glycerin.
