Dear Dr. Frazier:

I am embarrassed to realize that I misinterpreted a casual remark you made at
Sah Francisco, about having come out all that way to see each other. I thought
this was a comment on the usual paradox that people from the same institutdon may
sometimes eee each other more regularly at a meeting elseqhere than on campus, and
my reply was in kind. If you were referring instead more specifically to the
prograg for Wednesday night and Thursday morning, let me thank you instead for
your kind word,
