Please route the following request to the appropriate officer.

I an engaged in some investigations of locomotor function in bacteria.
For certain aspects, it would be of interest to learn whether choline-
esterase blocking agents such as DFP would inihibit this function.

Dre David Nachmansohn of Columbia University suggested to me that
I might precure a suitable sample of this substance by applying to your
installation. “e advised that about 1 gram would probably suffice.

I would gre&ély appreciate your cooperation in furnishing this material,
and any suggestions you might have on its application. I am not avare that
any similar experiments have been reported: if you can cite any to me, it
might save considerable laboratory work.
