Many thanks for letting me see the enclosed paper in advance
of publication. The method you describe has a classic simpli-
city; and the results obtained with it seem perfectly clear-cut.

For a number of reasons I have not beenable to push our resis—
tance studies as fast as I would have liked. I am, however,
now writing an introductory paper,and when it is ready, I would
welcome your critical comments and suggestions.
