Dear Professor Lederberg:

I have referred your request for information on
the use of polymers for containers in bacteriological work
to Dr. J. E, Teagarden of our Polychemicals Department and
you should hear from him shortly concerning his suggestions
regarding your problem.

Dr. deFiebre who received his Ph.D, degree in
bacteriology with Professors Knight and Wilson of the
University of Wisconsin joined our staff on the first of
July and we now have underway some research in microbiology.
I plan to visit the University of Wisconsin again early in
1953 and hope that it will be possible to visit with you at
that time and discuss in somewhat greater detail our plans
with regard to this research.
