I am writing to ask if you would be so good as to send
me a brief outline of the courses in genetics offered in your
Department. I wish to inquire also if genetics courses are
given in other departments of the University, and if so, what
courses.

If you are willing to do so, I would be grateful for
your opinion concerning the desirability or undesirability of
establishing a department of genetics in a University such 4s
UCLA. At the present time genetics courses are offered in a
number of departments.

Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated
by the Life Science Planning Committee.
