Dear Josh,
This is just a hasty note to tell you that I have decided to give up my apartment as of July 1. Before notifying the land lady, however I want to hear from you about your plans.
I shall be leaving Berkeley around June 19, so if you are planning on being here at the end of the month you could use the place. If, on the other hand, you would like to take it for the month of July, let me know. I could leave enough bedding, and kitchen equipment etc for you.
