Dear Dr. Demerec:

Me. Lino has all but finished his survey for linkage to H, of the lyaates
you had sent earlier. I am sorry to have to report that no 1 es have so
far been found: we had no good reason to expect any better luck.

Your letter implied that you might have an additional set; if so, and if
it would be convenient for you to let us have them, I would be obliged to you
again. For us, the lysates would be preferable to the cultures, but, again,
either will do.

Most of the samples of the first batch have not been greatly depleted. If

it would be any use to you at all, I will be happy to return them in their
original vials.
