November 21 1954 Dear Joshua, This is just a brief note to say that I will not be able to come up on Thanksgiving. The press of worldly affairs here--preparing lectures and laboratories for the class--will prevent me from budging for a month or so. I have not even been able to do an experiment since seeing you. This has proven particularly frustrating since the visits to Urbana and Madison were so invigorating. I hope you will have a nice holiday. Please give my best regards to Esther and the Cavalli's. I spoke to Kornberg about Morse immediately upon returning here and he has told me nothing more since then. He knows Esther and may have contacted him. I suspect he is trying hardest for some sort [END PAGE ONE] [BEGIN PAGE TWO] of animal virologist. I will try and find out what's what and let you know. With best wishes-- Bob
