Just to say that I have to be in San Francisco from about 30th October till 3 November, and hope to drop down to Stanford to see you and Esther, and Arthur and Paul and Co., one day in that period.  I hope you'll be about.  I'll probably ring[?] up when I arrive in San Francisco.
