Dear Joshua:

The other day the Vendrelys were here and told me that
you had recently succeeded in recovering again the lost Coli
strains of Boivin that had served as the donor and receptor
strains in his mutation experiments.

As you know we are deeply in the chemistry of bacterial
nucleic acids and should like very much to have a look at DNA
from both these strains. Would you be able to send me these
cultures, provided my information was correct? I might add
that the Vendrelys have given their blessings.
