Harrison Brown Editor BAS [stamped, APR 18 1985] Slanted headlines Dear Harrison Years ago, the Bulletin was the place to go for enlightened and informative discussion of national security policy matters. It has become in some measure polemically slanted -- as illustrated by this headline, which goes far beyond the article in neglecting the Soviet Union's own egregious role in this unhappy matter. To neglect that is no service to the development of sound policy. The Bulletin does have occasional "alternative opinions", but I feel it is achieving an image of anti-US-establishmentarianism that is clouding its utility as a seat of dispassionate wisdom. You have a chance to check that trend, but not too much more time -- if that is your wish. Yours, Joshua.
