Unfortunately, I have had to cancel my plans to come
East so I will not be able to attend the Symposium. I am
especially sorry because I had looked forward to discussing
the Stanford situation further with you and adding my urging
to Arthur's. I understand there will be some concrete
spelling out of an offer to you shortly and I certainly hope
we can make things attractive enough to bring you here.
