Dear Mike --
If you meant it, I would appreciate your investigating what really happened -- the enclosures can be a point of departure.
I have guessed that conflicts over relocating Genetics to Davis were a central issue.
As I am working on an autobiography, I would like to make fair and informed comment -- but about institutional process, not personality.
I was not too distressed by Jenkins letter of 3/13/58. It released me from my commitment to UC and allowed me to proceed with Stanford.
When will you be in N.Y.C.?
