Dear Dr. Lederberg:

I have just had a note from Hilary Koprowski
following his visit with you in Madison. I gather
from Hilary's note that you are not terribly enthusi-
astic about returning to the East. We are still s0
enthusiastic about the developing future of the Wistar
Institute that we would like once again to extend an
invitation to you to visit us and see the possibilities.
Perhaps, if you came to Philadelphia, we might be able
to instill a little of our enthusiasm in you. We would
be glad to reimburse you for the expenses of the trip.
In the event you do decide to come, please let me know
so that I can make the necessary arrangements.
