‘Dear Dr. Kuo:

Per your application and a decision of the SUMEX-AIM Executive
Committee, we would like to extend to you the availability of

SUMEX for your project "Distributed Data-Base System for Chronic
Disease". Your current status as a user will be as a project for
the period of from this date to 31 August 1975, and contingent upon
the funding of your grant. In anticipation of this deadline, we
would appreciate your keeping us informed of the status of your grant
and the funding possibilities. The terms of your access for this
interval will be as requested in your letter of 12/6/74, namely:
Connect time of < = 15 hours per week; cpu time 40 minutes per week;
program size, 50 K maximum.

Your use of SUMEX is based on the SUMEX connection to the ARPA
network. We have just completed final stages of testing the ARPANET
connection. We are Host Octal 56. Our name is SUMEX-AIM.

Your project has been set up on SUMEX with the appropriate account
as follows:

PROJECT Distributed Data Base System for Chronic Disease

ACCOUNTS: Data Base System (as this is the only account at
present, it is also your default account)

USERS: Kuo, Dr. (additional users can be established, please
refer to the attached procedures)

PASSWORD: XXX (This can be changed by using the PASSWORD COMMAND)

Also enclosed is a listing of the documentation that is currently
available on the SUMEX system. As new programs are made available, you
will be sent a copy of the appropriate document and an abstract. This
codumentation is being sent under separate cover.
