Dear Dr. Lederberg:

As we discussed on the telephone, your modified grant application
has been deferred for additional information. Specifically, would
you address the question of how the projected resource sharing is to
be administered to assure equity among users and how these users
would be selected. If this resource is to be largely restricted

to the artificial intelligence community, can you establish the
degree of the need for such a resource,

On receipt of this information, we should then be able to arrange
a project site visit, Would you, therefore, list dates between
the last few weeks in March and the first two weeks in April which
you would find impossible or extremely inconvenient, so that I
might begin making arrangements,
