Dear Josh:

There must have been some slip-up if you didn't get the
lecture and seminar schedule of the Genetics of Microorganisms
Course. I am enclosing one for you.

Regarding the number of lectures, you're slated for two
class lectures to be held Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 4:30.
You're also slated for one gemeral seminar on Wednesday evening at
8:00. It turns out actually, that the audience of the seminar is
nearly identical with the audience in the class. There are usually
about 30 persons.

Regarding lectures on overlapping subjects, the only
person who may overlap is Ryan, who is talking here next Tuesday
and he will probably be more concemed with bacterial reversion,
McCarty is also to give two lectures next week and will deal etire-
ly with the problem of bacterial transformations. Your three
lectures can be on any subject that you would like.

Regarding the manuscript, manuscripts are not demanded,
You get your hundred bucks anyhow. As a mtter of fact, the lectures
are being recorded by a Soundscriber instrument so that the depart-
ment has a permanent record of your lecture without your having to
write a manuscript,

We will have some lactose ame EMB agar ready for you.

the directory. If you get here late Monday night, call us since the
chances of your met finding our place are quite poor.
