I'm sorry I've been in the midst of preparing for a major site visit [mark to note, SUMEX Computer Facility (BRRB)] Friday and could not tear away to respond to your request for a precis of my talk Wednesday.
My remarks will follow the lines indicated, in the repint [sic] attached, but will also enlarge on the integrating of basic research and social policy, arenas like
pesticides and other environmental hazards; drug safety
nuclear energy
biological warfare -- intl. controls
abortion
malnutrition and early critical periods
genetic disease and prevention.
limits of biological expectation for war.
I will leave to Anderson and Thames the d[ . . . ]t of specific therapeutic and diagnostic aids.
