This Journal’s last 1991 issue will be published December 18, and we would like to include in a special anniversary section of that issue a three- or four- statement about hat you believe was the impact of the National Cancer Act. We are inviting statements from all those who have chaired the President’s Cancer Panel since 1971, all who have chaired the National Cancer Advisory Board, all who have served as NCI director, the 1971 chairmen of the Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health and the Environment, and others, including former President Richard M. Nixon, Mrs. Albert Lasker, and Ann Landers, who played a major role in connection with the National Cancer Act of 1971. If we are to include your statement, we need to have it not later than November 22. We hope you are willing to help us. Please send your statement to me at the address on the letterhead. Sincerely, teal Un HS - Paul Van Nevel News Editor
