I was delighted to read in the March 17, 1971 Examiner of your
recent letter to the Health Subcommittee of the Senate Committee

on Labor and Public Welfare. For your information I am attaching a
copy of my testimony before the Committee supporting essentially the
same position you adopted.

I do believe that Congress needs to take some definitive action to
indicate a commitment to the conquest of cancer and to establish a
mechanism for oversight so that funds will not be siphoned from other
programs such as health research facilities construction or training

grants.
