Dear Dr. Lederberg:

your testimony on air guality standards for lead before
the recent meeting of the Air Resources Board. I realize
this required a special effort on your part because of
your busy schedule.

Your statement was objective, unemotional, and well-delivered.
It was a major factor in tipping the balance towards adoption
of the standards.
