the error of date on Gilpatric'ts speech---
it was Oct 21st, you are right.

'f you were a soviet intelligence man, that
speech would have criven you up the wall at
that time. And remember, it was reinforcec
by detailed briefings given to the NATO
g@ankx powers, some of whom, we knew, haa
been @ penetrated by &x Soviet agents.

Ihe point is that we were saying,"Look, we
know what you have, anu we have a seconci
Strike force that is larger than your first
strike force."
