Dear Josh,

Enclosed is a copy of the report of the Appropriations
Committee on the bill providing health funds for FY 71. The
language pertaining to the Genetics Task Force begins on page
26 and goes over to page 27.

The bill is scheduled for a vote tomorrow. If anything is
said in debate that might interest you I'll send you a copy of it,
although I suspect you subscribe to the Congressional Record.
In any case, this report has the language describing the way the
Task Force is to be set up and operated.

I called Harold Schmeck of the New York Times last week
to tell him this action was in prospect. He was on vacation and
rang me back today. I brought him up-to-date and he said he
would obtain a copy of the report and write a story tomorrow.
