Dear Mr. Lederberg:

I was pleased to read your column of July 4, "Consumer
ehould Be on Par With Labor and Industry." It seems to me that,
to compare the powers over production with the branches of
government, one would have to call lator the executive, industry
the legislature, and the consumer the judiciary of preduction.
It seems important to me that the people retain ultimate control
over these powers lest they take on a fascist form.
