Iwas very pleased to see your story
on lead today.

I hope it will evoke the kind of at-
tention the problem deserves. Lead toxicity
has heen very effectively shrugged off by the
TeT manufacturers -- it wasn't until catalysts’
were in peril of poisoning that we saw any
action tn that sphere. TI also think it im- ]
portant that we attend very carefully to the
continued use of lead in any paint; or at ;
the very least that its hazards be carefully
pointed out at every step of the distributéon
chain. (You might ask nvaint salesmen in your
territory how they would react to the anec-
dote in my article.)
