It was good to hear from you.
I tend to agree with Dusan's [?] admonition, but don't always follow my own precepts -- see enclosure. Your piece is a useful counter-polemic; but along with its target does perhaps belong more in editorials than "scientific" journals.
You will also see that I was and am in large agreement with you -- except that altruism may be the ghost in the machine. How does one verify propositions like that?
Have you read Schmookler? (whom I find superficial); Jenis? (superb on the political fallout of human psychology.)
