Dear Josh:

I received a copy of your article in The Washington Post
on July 31, 1971. I am afraid that much of what you say is not
out of date. I am particularly struck by your last two para-
graphs, as I indeed shared the same kind of basic “upbringing”.

I do not have a very good suggestion on how to alter the
current courses of action by the Federal Government.
