The meeting will be a rump session of a Pnage Conference chat Guncner Stent is organizing to be held at the California Alumni veenier near Lake Tahoe, California. The principle business of the meeting would pe x review of life detection experiments on the Mariner B Mars capsule (the multivator). This part of the session, probably from about 10:50 a.m. to 3 or 3:30 pem. wouid also invite the attendance of other vecpers of the Phage Conference. There is no other urgent specific ~«>iness but we should perhaps nave a brief executive session after this to consider whether there are any more general perspectives on the exo- biology program most appropriate for our own consideration as a committee of the National Academy of Sciences. You will receive further notice of ine details of the meeting-- especially those of you who would not be involved in the preceding Phage ~onference. Gunther will be in closest touch with the local arrangements. Tanoe has air service from Reno for any of you who may require such quick access; we are looking into the possibility of local accommodations for those of us who may have to Stay over Saturday night.
