Thank you very much for your letter of October 27. We will do
our best along the lines of your suggestions for the preface, in
accordance with the final paragraph of your letter, and I am most
grateful to have had your expression of opinion.

As to your comments on the man-in-space program: it should be
possible to have a discussion of this topic at the next meeting of
the Board. I had hoped, as you know, to have had a preliminary dis-
cussion of this topic at the last meeting, followed by a general
Board discussion, but time did not permit this.
