A propos Mariner B, Mars 1964, one other thought came to me:

tf a capsule Is landed In July 1965, It will then be a matter of some
two or three years before the next alssion. Should wa give some thought
to the kinds of elementary recording of data that we would have liked to
have accumulated during that Interval? The meteorclogical data for the
seasonal cycles are the Items that come to mind most readily; perhaps other
possibilities would also emerge from further discussion.
