Dear Sam:

I did not want to lose the occasion of communicating with
you to say that I hope to see you before very long,about the
various programs at The Rockefeller University which the
National Foundation is already supporting;and perhaps still other
opportunities that we might be able to mount in the future. I
hardly need to tell you the kind of priority emphasis that I
would give to the domains of mutual interest for whatever room
of extension or change becomes available. JI am very much in a
transition state between now and September 1 but would be glad
to hear from you at any time if you had any thoughts of your own
in that direction. In any case, I surely will be making further
personal contact with you after I move to New York approximately
September l.
