The enclosed copy of a letter to McNamara refers to the end of a trip to South
America by Candau, Peterson (former head of UNDP) and me, for PAHO, to assess and
make recommendations for future action on their Pan-American Zoonoses (Argentina)
and Aftosa Centres (Brazil).

Since you probably will not receive the mentioned issue of the Newsletter for
