The next meeting of this committee will be on Friday, May 18, 10:00 am at 26 West 56th Street, New York City. At that meeting it is planned to commence discussion as to how our graduate institutions might gain a higher priority from the state and federal governments for graduate education and research. From the discussions we hope to develop a legis- lative program to strengthen assistance to these areas. The cicu staff has been gathering data concerning graduate education and research for this purpose. May I request that you have a member of your staff send to me information on the number of your students who are engaged in post-doctoral research and what the topics of their research are. s I would appreciate receiving this information in time for our meeting On May 18th.
