I am so sorry, I still haven't caught up with the mail that backlogged here while I was at Stanford and Yosemite this summer.
Oct. 8 is fine but 9 AM is the earliest I can be sure of now. (The blooms are open but my morning schedule interacts with my (school) childrens' [sic]). If you let me know where you're staying I might be able to phone you on short notice of any possibility of an earlier start. 9 still would give us half an hour.
