Dear Barbee:

I checked with the business manager about the travel expenses. He
told ms Bowers had cleared it before he left, and the check should have
been mailed to you (at Qak Ridge!) some few days ago. I'm sorry to have
catised you the extra trouble about the vouchers. iI'd appreciate your
letting m= know 1f he came through with both your expenses; I didn't
want to press the point, having forgotten about that when it first cape
Up now.

What I meant about addresses was to leave off 'Medical School! for the
time being; I haven't educated the mailmen yet to the fact that the Department
of Medical Genetics is housed in the same building as Genetics. Our home
address is 507 Eugenia.

Ie it really so that MATS flies nonstop direct from Manila to SFO? I
thought thay almost always xefteimt refueled en route, dven though this
doesn't show on the operational schedules. I know that at least the com
mercial. (NWA) route to Tokyo stops both at Anchorage and at some one-acre
island at the end of the Aleutians.

Do let me know if you don't get the check quite soon. Give my best to
Kim when you write him next.
