YALE UNIVERSITY OSBORN BOTANICAL LABORATORY _ NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT M.B.L., Woods Hole, Mass. August 26, 1947. Dear Tony, As you know, I'd planned to come back to P&S next month. That's changed now. The Univ. of Wisconsin has appointed me Assistant Professor 6f Genetics, to set up a program of reasauch in micro- organisms. It looked like too good a set-up to turn down. We have just come back from Madison where we went for interviews, etc. You may know that Wisconsin has just inveigled another P&S man to settle there- D. Green. It's a very pleasant place. The only trouble is that my lab has to be set up from scratch; while there's plenty of mongy, the delivery situation on scientfic equpt. is vey slow, and it may take sometime to get started. ; We'll be back in New York about the second week in Sept., I hope we can see you then, so let it be known where you are around that time. Best regards to all- 7 De Osa.
