I have your note of 17 November. As I indicated on the tele-
phone, we would be delighted to develop a program whereby junior
faculty members might spend some time here at the NAS-NRC. Our
previous attempt was only partially successful, for reasons that
I indicated. I would appreciate your sounding out young people
at Stanford simply as a trial balloon to discover whether, were
such a program in existence, there might be any takers.
