I was very much interested in your remarks in the current issue of science; perhaps we might have a chance to discuss them at closer hand, if you don't mind my calling on you the next time I am in N.Y. Fiction (like "Arrowsmith" display a substantial role in shaping my own perceptions of the scientific causes [?] when I was a child; and I have been interested how general this may be.
Meanwhile, I know you would want to be in touch with Harriet Zuckerman at Columbia (Sociology) who has some repertoire of biographic/historical studies.
