I can report to you that the physics portion of your new constituency are uniformly enthusiastic about you. I was in Stanford with Bram Pais last month and he told me of his pleasant evening with you. It would be nice to talk with you after we both find out what we have let ourselves in for. I suspect that you, like me, had never thought too seriously about taking such a step until faced with the opportunity of these two jewel-like places in our respective areas of interest.
