P.S. other aldehydes: CH3CHO
It occurs to me that it would be most illuminating to have similar data on acetaldehyde -- even more than formaldehyde a natural intermediate -- for perspective on how close to zero exposures one should strive.
I chide myself for never having tested AcH myself in 1951, though it was on my mind. Nor have I located any data on muta- or carcino-genicity. It would of course be particularly germane to the assessment of ethanol as well as of formaldehyde.
