November 14, 1979 L Memo to File - Bill Gibson visit - Wednesday, November 14, 1979 Bill Gibson was just here. He knows Cecil Green very well and feels that Green would be the most interested in re- productive biology. The idea of merging the Pop Council or at least Wayne Bardin's chair into the University for a price tag of 2 million is one that he thought he would try and present to Green the next time he sees him. Gerontology and in particular the sustaining of neuro--function is an area that he is very keen about and we agreed would make pretty good sense for our own clinical research center. At the present time he is Chairman of the Medical Grants Commission in Canada. He was certainly sympathetic when I told him the kind of thing that Dr. Leibowitz mentioned.
