Dr. Gibson "Young Endeavour" . . . . I have really enjoyed reading your accounts of what youth has done. I wish more of my own graduate students were more audacious -- and they might be with these examples. I do have to pick a nit out of your (very kind!) reference to me at Yale. Ed Tatum did not "shanghai" me (more the converse -- I went after him!); and I was never a medical student at Yale. From what I know now, if I had been, rather than at P+S, I might well have completed my M.D. In retrospect it is curious that no one suggested that option.
