THE NEW YORK BLOOD CENTER A 310 East 67 Street, New York, N.Y. 10021 (212) 794-3000 August 7, 1978 Dear Dr. Lederberg: I have just returned and will be unable to phone you on the 9th but do want very much to talk with you. You know that we are most eager to have you as the L.C. Dunn Lecturer during the coming year. We have two "named" lectures here at the Blood Center, the first one set up having been the L.C. Dunn Lecture, about which I wrote you earlier. The two lecturers so far have been Guido Pontecarvo and C.E. Ford. The other lecture is the Alexander Weiner Lecture and the two lecturers have been Professor Sir John Dacie and Professor Robin Coombs. (We are a new institution, so just a few speakers to date.) T hope you will learn that the Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute which is the research wing of the New York Blood Center is truly a good neighbor of your new home. I'm off to Moscow and will look forward to talking with you after August 31. Best wishes and kind personal regards. Yours ve : we ™ ‘ a Y yer aan f f . of &. ~Tyames L.
